Our Board & Train programs are for San Antonio dog owners who want reliable obedience with less time and work.
Your dog stays with us and trains throughout the day. Then, we train you on what they learned and how to communicate with them.
4 week - basic on leash
The 4 Week Board & Train is perfect for the dog owner that wants foundational on leash obedience. At the end of the program, your dog will be able to perform our 8 foundational commands in reasonable environments:

Sit
Down
Heel
Come
Place
Leave It
Out (drop it)
This program includes an on-leash training collar that you will be taught to use. Drop off and pick ups are included.
6 week - Advanced off leash
The 6 Week Board & Train is for the dog owner that wants “go-anywhere” off leash obedience. Your dog will have bomb-proof obedience across 8 commands under heavy distraction:
Leash manners
Sit
Down
Heel
Come at distance
Place
Leave It
Out (drop it)
This program includes both an on-leash training collar and a high-performance DOGTRA E-Collar (a $300 value) that will you will be taught to use. Drop off and pick ups are included.
All training will be proofed in the real world.
Not all Board & trains are created equal
Poorly-Designed programs:

Many Board & Train programs have a single “take home” session, like handing the keys off to a new car. Dogs are not cars, however. One session does not give the owner enough time to become a competent handler.
This will create further problems down the line as the dog becomes confused by inconsistent handling, ultimately undermining both the owner’s investment and the training that has been done.

It’s an unfortunate reality that when out of view, many trainers use methods that are not in the dog’s best interest.
There are countless publicly reported instances of unethical trainers ruining, abusing, and even losing dogs behind closed doors.

Some facilities warehouse several dogs at a time. Dogs suffer from small kennels, a stressful environment, and impersonal attention.

It can be hard for both you and your dog to be separated for such a significant amount of time.

The programs include multiple in-home lessons that teach you how to confidently handle your dog.
Transparency
We explain every step of training beforehand, and provide weekly videos of sessions. You’ll also get daily pictures of your pup.
Clean, secure kennels
Your dog will love our roomy, fully enclosed kennels. They will be living onsite at our home, so they will get lots of personalized attention.
Your dog visits you
There are “return home” weekends built into the schedule - dogs get homesick too!
Results Guaranteed
If at the end of the program your dog’s obedience falls short of our standard, we’ll work for free until its reached.
All Equipment INcluded
All training collars, treats, and toys are included at no extra cost. At the end of the program, you get to take home all training collars.
We do all pick-up & drop-off
No extra charge!
NOTE: While we love helping aggressive dogs, this isn’t the program for them. Aggression is always most effectively addressed via the handler within the daily context of the home. See THE AGGRESSION BLUEPRINT.
How it works
A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to secure a training slot. All training slots begin on Sundays. We provide both pick-ups and drop-offs.
Each time the dog is dropped off, you will be given an in-home lesson on what they’ve learned.
There are built-in “return home” weekends - the 2nd Thursday for a 4 week program, and the 2nd and 4th Thursdays for a 6 week program. This helps alleviate homesickness and allows you to practice. The dog will be picked up again the following Sunday.
Remaining payment is due upon completion of training.
